Materials
Wood Fence
Wood fences are an ideal enhancement for any property. They can be constructed for privacy or as spaced picket decorative fences, consisting of three main components: posts, rails, and pickets.
Posts
Posts serve as the foundation of a wood fence. Positioned vertically, they are embedded into the ground using concrete to guarantee stability.
Typically, wood fence posts are 4x4 (3.5” x 3.5” actual), with the post height varying to match the fence's intended height.
Chain Link Fence
- A chain link fence is a commonly used woven fencing made from galvanized steel wire. The wires run vertically and bend into a zigzag pattern, allowing each "zig" to hook with the wire on one side and each "zag" with the wire on the other. Chain link fences are available in various sizes, colors, and gauges to meet different needs.
Aluminum Fence
- Aluminum fencing is widely available in preformed styles, offering ease of cleaning, resistance to weathering, and low maintenance needs. It is often more cost-effective compared to similar materials like wrought iron and steel. Additionally, many aluminum fences feature panels that are rackable.
Vinyl Fence
- Vinyl fencing is impervious to termite damage, does not splinter or fade, and necessitates only sporadic cleaning. Moreover, unlike some conventional fencing materials, it does not succumb to rust or corrosion and is more resistant to denting and crimping.
Ranch Style Fence
- The ranch-style fence, often referred to as post and rail or pasture fence, typically features 3 to 4 horizontal rails that extend around the entire perimeter. It is effective for containing livestock or simply providing a rustic decorative element to your property's exterior. This type of fencing can be constructed using materials such as wood, wire mesh, or vinyl.
